From turmoil that’s rampant on
earth
to individual strife
upheaval found at every turn
affects each one in life

where daily stress can wear away
foundations of sound mind
leave opportunities open
for the devil to find

but greater is He Who is in you
to combat thoughts impure
taking authority by choice
speaking truth that is sure
____
a person has the power within
to pull out from this stress
by giving Jesus all their cares
His peace on them will rest
____
for God shall comfort them by grace
enduring life’s hard road
filling one to overflowing
and carrying his load
____
yes God is the champion of all
who put their trust in Him
His ways are best when sought by faith
He strengthens those within
____
thereby expectations are high
which soothes the conscious soul
relying upon Jesus Christ
